Indiana Jones Rides Again

Date February 18, 2008

I’m more than a little excited about this.  I remember seeing “Raiders of the Lost Ark” in the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA as a small boy.  I was less impressed with the second, and pleasantly surprised by the last.  This one definately looks promising. Go Dr. Jones!!

Papaw’s In A Pickle

Date February 15, 2008

I called home yesterday to wish my grandparents a happy Valentines day.  My grandfather, who I’ve known my entire life as “Papaw,” is known much more for his ability to fix things than his reliability at remembering special occasions such as Feb. 14.  So, I called him up, just to make sure he hadn’t forgotten.  After [...]

Like vs. Respect

Date February 11, 2008

Here’s a question for you. Which would you prefer? To be liked, or to be respected? Easy question? Maybe. Maybe not. Let’s walk through this. To be liked . . . You are popular, at least for a season. People smile and welcome you when you walk into a room. Life is a little easier. [...]

Love Me If You Can

Date September 30, 2007

By now you might have heard Toby Keith’s new single, “Love Me If You Can.” I’m not sure anyone has ever written a song that so completely encapsulates who I am and what I would have wanted to say if I could write like that.  This is an incredible song and one that warrants a [...]

I hope you’ve had a chance to read the comments from [...]

Introduction: Talent Is Never Enough

Date August 5, 2007

I want to know your thoughts on this stuff. At the end of each post, I’ve asked a couple of questions. Take a second to respond by leaving a comment, and maybe we’ll all learn something. OK. I’ll admit it. I could pave my driveway with the self-help books I started and never finished past [...]

Talent Is Never Enough

Date July 22, 2007

Don’t faint!  Two posts inside of a month.  I know.  It’s a miracle just shy of Biblical proportions.  When I started this blog, I promised myself that I would not post unless I had something to say.  Well guess what?  I’m ready to talk. Over the next few posts, I’ll be sharing some things I’ve learned during [...]
